How this family works
The public site is a window. The vault is the house. These rules do not move when the pages do.
- 01One body, one PersonID. We do not merge people to make the tree look tidy.
- 02KK-0009 (English son, born 3 February 1877) is not KK-0011 (Gore man, died 16 November 1922, aged 42). That case stays open until certificates close it.
- 03Living dates of birth stay in the vault. They do not go on this site. They do not go to Tim in Seattle.
- 04Certificates outrank memory. Memory is kept, and marked as memory.
- 05Nobody is added as a child or a parent without a name. Empty boxes are not kindness.
- 06A spouse who married in is family. Their parents may be named when they ask. Their whole cousinage is a chapter only when that family wants one.
- 07Minors: first name only in public, and only with a parent’s yes. No dates. No school. No photo unless asked.
- 08Email, phone, street, and “come stay” are vault data. They are not page copy.
- 09We do not collect medical files or DNA kits for this project.
- 10Simon assigns PersonIDs. Family correct facts. Nobody reprints a fight as settled.
Who may be on the list
People born Knight in this line. People who married in, and their children. One generation of an in-law’s parents when that person wants them named. Allied families — Baselgia, Ysker, Cleveland, Rogerson — as their own branch when they ask. Scope grows when someone in that line asks, not because the compiler got curious.
What you can ask
Correct a name or a parent. Hide a living fact that slipped out. Keep a certificate in the vault. Name your parents on your branch. Stay off these pages and remain on the private list only. Write simon@konduct.au.
