How the site works

Two rooms

This site holds stories, the open identity question, people who have passed with sources, and living people as names without private dates.

The vault is the family workbook, paper in Drive, and working files on the compiler’s computer. Emails, full dates for the living, certificates, and arguments live there. If the two rooms disagree, the vault wins.

On these pages

• Origin: Wapping soap works, the Black Sheep, the Gore household.
• A tree built from PersonIDs. Parents, spouses, children we actually have.
• Conflicts we refuse to flatten — especially C-001.
• Stories and pictures cleared to show.

Not on these pages

• Dates of birth for people who are alive.
• Emails, phones, streets.
• A complete list of every living child.
• Medical information.
• A button that writes into the family list.

Married in

A Knight by marriage is on the tree. Their birth family can be added as a branch when they want that. Rosie Baselgia Knight is not a guest. Her parents can sit above her when she names them.

Later, and only with consent: city, a way to be reached inside the family, a line of work if offered. That directory is not this home page. Read the door.

The working notes

The 2026 family invitation, Tim’s blog harvest, incoming paper, and the compiler’s desk live in the family Drive — not on these pages. The public chronicle is How we got here. Corrections come through Write to Simon. Nobody edits the tree from the internet.

Hosting

knightborn.au is a published site on an external host. The vault is not on that host. Treat every public page as something a stranger can screenshot.
