KNIGHTBORN exists so that loss has somewhere to go besides silence. The advanced part is the archive. The point is the living.
Why it looks cinematic
The look is the register
This is not a filing product. It is the public face of a family that refused to let its story be sold, flattened, or lost with a generation. A dusty oak-tree clipart would file the work away. A title-card mark treats the line the way the people inside it already feel it: as their origin story.
Cinematic is not decoration. It is the honest register of the thing being built.
Naming
Three names. One ethics.
- KNIGHTBORN
- Public brand. Origin title. The fortress door. Theme, site, seal. Say this in public.
- The working system
- Internal tools, compiler notes, the machine that reads faded manifests. Never the public name.
- The vault
- PersonIDs. Rows. Certificates. Intake. The archive database. Say this when talking about IDs.
Vaultborn is a separate IP. Adult fiction universe. Marks, voice, and files never mix.

- 01 Never merge KK-0009 (Sidney Alfred, English son, b. 3 Feb 1877) with KK-0011 (Gore man recorded as Sydney Herbert Knight, d. 16 Nov 1922 aged 42).
- 02 Never reuse a PersonID.
- 03 Cuth is Henry Cuthbert Knight, 29 Apr 1923 – 22 May 2005. He is posthumous. He is not on the 1922 living-issue list.
- 04 SAYK is Cuth’s brother, Barry’s father, not Cuth’s father.
- 05 Two Vickis. Coral, not Carol. Darelle, not Darren.
- 06 Royal warrant is company c.1903. Do not pin it on John of Wapping’s lifetime.
- 07 Cause of death only when a certificate already says it, or the family asks for a short note. Never for the living.
- 08 Living dates stay off any pack that leaves the compiler’s desk. Under-18 first names only unless a parent consents.
- 09 A briefing that stamps C-001 resolved does not close it. Age 42 in 1922 is not a 1877 birth.
- 10 People who married in belong. Their parents are added when they ask. No unnamed children.
If a sentence would violate a lock, kill the sentence.

Keep living dates off the public pack. Make the past useful to the living. Never sell the story. Certificates beat memory. Conflicts stay visible. No scandal dressing.
